Shook AS-11 HR High Roof Live News Vans are completely self-contained,
self-powered earth-mobile live news vehicles. The 7.0 kW
gasoline powered generator provides ample technical and
utility power for the operation of all onboard equipment and
a high efficiency 15,000 BTU air conditioning system.
Designed for the use with 1.2-1.5 meter satellite
antennas. A custom engineered aluminum reinforced raised roof
provides approximately 16" of additional headroom as well as
providing increased rack space for RF transmission and
production equipment. The AS-11HR van's sleek aerodynamic
profile provides reduced wind drag during highway driving.
The AS-11 HR series vans are divided up into 2 discreet
operating areas, with the operations area located in the
front and the equipment storage, generator and cable reels
in the rear of the vehicle. An optional pneumatic mast can
be provided allowing simultaneous point-to-point terrestrial
and digital satellite transmission capabilities.
Units can be delivered fully outfitted with the
acquisition and RF equipment of you choice; or Shook will
complete the vehicle "rack ready" for easy installation of
equipment and cabling by the end user. Finite element
engineering affords proper weight distribution for excellent
handling and durability in the most adverse news related
conditions.
